The suspect in a hit-and-run crash was arrested Thursday evening after he drove his truck onto the playing field at Folsom Field in Colorado.

Boulder police said they received a call of multiple hit-and-runs involving the same blue truck near Foothills Parkway and Arapahoe Avenue, about 1.5 miles from the stadium. The truck driver hit several trees and a car as he fled, nearly hitting a witness at the scene.

Boulder Police and University Police attempted to stop the driver before he crashed into the gate at Folsom Stadium, causing the truck to stop near the 40-yard line, along the visitors’ sideline. After negotiating with police, the driver exited the truck and surrendered.

Boulder Police have identified the suspect as Karl E. Haglund, 48, of Massachusetts. He will be booked into the Boulder County Jail on multiple charges, including three counts of leaving the scene of an accident with damage, attempted criminal vehicular assault, reckless endangerment, driving without insurance and trespassing.

No one on campus was injured during the incident, a university spokesperson told ESPN.

The University of Colorado football team visits Colorado State on Saturday before returning to Folsom Stadium on Sept. 21 to face Baylor.
