Scotland have released an update after Andy Robertson pulled out of training ahead of Euro 2024, as more news emerged about Adrian’s future at Liverpool.
Robertson’s ‘injury’ explained
Euro 2024 kicks off on Friday night, with Robertson’s Scotland taking on hosts Germany in the first leg (20:00 BST).
However, the Liverpool left-back limped out of open training on Monday, leading to doubts over his involvement later this week.
Fortunately, Robertson’s withdrawal was described by trainer John Carver as a “precautionary measure”, and he is expected to train again on Tuesday.
Fitness issues have begun to emerge for the 30-year-old, who has missed much of the 2023/24 season.
However, he looks set to lead his country against Germany in what will be an immensely proud night for him.
