Interest in the 19-year-old appears to be high, with Hull, Blackburn, Derby, Huddersfield and Birmingham tracking him.
Lynch admits it ‘remains to be seen’ whether a loan move will happen, as was the plan under Jurgen Klopp, with ‘no clarification’ from Arne Slott or sporting director Richard Hughes.
McConnell played nine times for the Reds in the 2023/24 season, his most notable performance coming as a substitute against Chelsea in the League Cup final.
