Mo Salah heads Liverpool’s 16-man squad for Arne Slott’s pre-season opener – Liverpool FC

Mohamed Salah will be the headline name involved on the first day of Arne Slott’s first pre-season at Liverpool, with up to 16 first-team players expected to report.

Liverpool return to the AXA training center in the first week of July, although new head coach Slott will not be able to work with his full squad.

With 10 players currently at the European Championships and four more for the Copa America in the United States, all will return later in the summer.

Regardless, Slott can expect at least 16 senior players to work with on the first day of preseason.

Salah is the most prominent of the first returners, although his training may then be interrupted if Egypt invites him to the Olympics.

The Olympic football tournament will take place between July 24 and August 10, meaning all the players involved cannot return until a week before the start of the Premier League.

However, Liverpool are under no obligation to release their players, which is why they could also block call-ups Wataru Endo and Stefan Bajčetićwhich will return on the first day.
