Manchester United may have won the FA Cup against all odds, but it can’t hide the fact that the club needs major reinforcements ahead of next season.

The Red Devils finished eighth in the league, their worst ever finish in the Premier League, and were also kicked out of the Champions League for the first time in question despite being drawn in a relatively easy group.

But given the problems with PSR, the new co-owners of INEOS must first focus on moving players before they start signing players.

First-team stars Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial have already announced their departures, while loanee Alvaro Fernandez has sealed a permanent move to Benfica.

Greenwood’s suitors are increasing by the day

Mason Greenwood could be next on a growing list of potential suitors a day after his impressive season in La Liga.

The People’s Person recently reported that Atletico Madrid are preparing a swap bid that includes Joao Felix heading to Old Trafford to secure the signature of the United academy graduate.

Barcelona and Getafe are also interested in the Catalan giants, who are also open to swapping players, while the Madrid club are looking for another loan move.

The 20-time champions of the English league would prefer to give up and have reportedly slapped a £50m asking price on the England international’s head.

Many Italian clubs are also eyeing the 22-year-old, with Juventus even preparing a mock bid for the versatile striker, which United have scoffed at.

Napoli are also in the running, while journalist Alfredo Pedulla now claims that Lazio are also keeping an eye on proceedings.

The Rome-based side were close to agreeing a loan deal for the United star last summer but failed to submit the documents in time. They even returned in January, asking United to terminate their loan deal with Getafe.

Club president Claudio Lotito blamed United for missing out on Greenwood, and now he appears to be back for a second bite.

Entry of Lazio

“Having returned to Manchester United at the end of his loan, there is now no shortage of offers for Greenwood: Juve and Napoli have announced from Italy, but there are also offers from Spain and Germany as they all understand the importance and value of Mason.

“We can add one thing: Lazio also wants to try again, and in the last few hours there has been contact with some intermediaries.

“Already in January, Lotito tried to enter the competition, but there was no time to go all the way. Now he’s back to work and would even make a financial sacrifice to bring Greenwood to Lazio.”

It remains to be seen whether the Serie A side have the financial clout to agree a permanent deal.

INEOS are even prepared to send the Englishman back to pre-season training if they do not receive a suitable offer before June 30.
