The first four picks in Round 1 at Barclays Center aligned directly with ESPN’s final mock draft, including the No. 1 selection of Zachary Resacher of the Atlanta Hawks. Then, the Detroit Pistons pulled off the first surprise by drafting ESPN’s 13th-ranked prospect Ron Holland at No. 5.

Thursday’s second round saw a flurry of draft trades and team trades, including college stars Kyle Filipowski, Tyler Kolek and Johnny Furfee going off the board early. Round 2 also featured the selection of Brony James to the Los Angeles Lakers with the No. 55 pick.
